Jingle Tree

Sitting down with a flutter in her stomach and some apprehension to start the last book in the series that she has devoured over the past few years.  She stalked the author’s blog, knowing the exact release dates of every upcoming book – reconnecting with the characters she has internalized so completely she hears their voices in her head, giving her advice and laughing at her jokes – even when she is not reading the stories they inhabit.  This holiday tree evokes the same emotions…such delight at the time of its dressing and reveal, and a heavy heart when the season is over, and it is time to take it down.  You will not want to put this tree away or store it in the attic or garage.  It has a personality, a presence…you will hear its voice in your head and grieve its departure.
