Amy – my sister-in-law – she is the one I credit with making me aware.  Ignorance was bliss, but I cannot unknow what I know, cannot unsee what I have seen.  Ovarian Cancer – I see you…but now that I am aware, I’m going to make others aware, too, and we are coming for you. Advancements have been made, treatment is no longer “watch and wait” – because we can do better.  For all the survivors and for all the loved ones who honor us with their memories – this tree says “Ovarian Cancer – now it is time for you to ‘watch and wait’ - keep your head on a swivel, keep looking over your shoulder – because we are coming for you.”
